Portfolio > Plaster and Paint

Each of the works in this series is made up of two elements, one 3D and one 2D. The sculptural pieces are created by painting plaster over natural materials. The resulting splatters and drips of plaster are then pulled from the ground by acrylic painted onto a sheet of rag paper. This speaks about action and residue, that which is thrown off and left behind. In these cases the residue has been saved and shown along with the 3 dimensional piece, adding an historical or time element to the whole.
